Studio Policies
Our Studio Philosophy
At our studio, we believe dance should inspire confidence, creativity, discipline, and joy. We are committed to providing a positive learning environment where every student feels encouraged to grow both as a dancer and as an individual. By working together—students, parents, and instructors—we can create an atmosphere built on respect, teamwork, and a shared passion for dance.
Thank you for entrusting us with your dancer's training. We look forward to an incredible season filled with growth, friendships, and unforgettable memories.
Attendance & Punctuality
Regular attendance is essential for consistent progress and confidence in the classroom. Please make every effort to arrive on time each week.
If your dancer will be absent, please call the studio and leave a message for the instructor.
If arriving late, please enter the classroom quickly and quietly without interrupting instruction.
Frequent absences or tardiness may affect a student's progress and class placement.
Arrival & Dismissal
Please help us maintain a respectful environment for all classes.
Keep voices low while entering and exiting the studio, hallways, and lobby.
Students should wait quietly before class begins, as excessive noise can disrupt classes in session.
Never enter a classroom unless an instructor is present.
Due to our class schedule, instructors are unable to meet with parents between classes. If you have questions or concerns, please send a note, email, or leave a message with the front desk, and your instructor will respond as soon as possible.
Dress Code
Proper dance attire allows instructors to safely and effectively evaluate technique.
All students must wear the required dance attire and appropriate shoes for their class.
Hair must be neatly secured away from the face for the entire class.
Ballet students are required to wear fitted clothing so instructors can properly observe body alignment and technique.
Please label all shoes and personal belongings.
Leave jewelry, valuables, and toys at home.
Food & Drinks
To help keep our studio clean and safe:
Water in a sealed plastic bottle is permitted.
Food, gum, and all other beverages are not allowed in the classrooms or lobby.
Please finish and dispose of food and drinks before entering the building.
Restroom Policy
Students are encouraged to use the restroom before class begins.
Classes move quickly, and we want every dancer to get the most from their instruction. If a restroom emergency arises during class, students should quietly excuse themselves and return without disrupting the class.
Behavior & Studio Etiquette
Respect is one of our studio's core values.
Students are expected to:
Show kindness and respect toward instructors, staff, classmates, and studio property.
Listen carefully and follow directions.
Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate good sportsmanship.
Stay focused and participate to the best of their ability.
Disruptive or disrespectful behavior will be addressed promptly. Students will receive a warning when appropriate. Continued inappropriate behavior may result in dismissal.
Cell Phones & Electronic Devices
Cell phones, smart watches, and other electronic devices should be silenced and stored away during class unless being used for an instructor-approved activity.
Health & Wellness
For the health and safety of all students and staff, please keep your dancer home if they are experiencing a fever, vomiting, a contagious illness, or any symptoms that may be spread to others.
Missed Classes & Make-Up Policy
We understand that absences happen. If your dancer misses a class, please contact the studio regarding available make-up class options, if applicable. Tuition is reserved for your student's place in class and is not prorated due to absences.
Lost & Found
Please label all personal belongings. The studio is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Unclaimed items will be placed in our Lost & Found for a limited time.
Social Media & Photography
Photos and videos may occasionally be taken during classes or studio events for promotional purposes. If you prefer that your dancer not appear in studio media, please notify the office in writing.
Studio Safety
For the safety of all dancers:
Students should remain inside the building until picked up.
Younger dancers should always be escorted to and from the building by a parent or guardian.
Running, climbing, or horseplay in the lobby and hallways is not permitted.
Thank you for your cooperation and support. We look forward to an amazing season with you and your family!
